Make it mandatory.
Think you can get away with dictating how people should live?
Well, suck it!
I'm turning the tables and I'm telling you how to live your life, and I want you to commit to a same sex marriage.
Don't like it? Doesn't feel right? Maybe you feel like you're betraying yourself?
Now you know what it's like to live a lie.
Are you ready to legalize same sex marriages now?

I read books so I can be the best. I think CBC should be my schtick. Break through the boys club and be the most awesome thing there.
See I have a one track mind.
I'm sorry to hear that dude's comment hurt you. I realized early on that people are hateful when they are jealous.
Never fear judgement.
Never let other people's regrets ruin your success.
Feel happy that when they die a lonely death they would've made no contribution to the world (culturally or otherwise) except for spawn a couple dirty offspring to pick up our garbage and sanitize our sewage.
You on the other hand, lived a dream.
Love me or hate me
that is the question
if you love me
thank you
if you hate me
then fuck you.

Thanks for waxing all poetic. Seriously. One thing I've discovered in my extraordinary old age is that it's all about being comfortable in your skin; I'm pretty much there now. It's funny how certain incidents can stay with you forever though. Part of the mandatory growing process.
Re: CBC...don't waste your time. I know many people who work there, and even had them as a client once for my non-music profession...it is one weird, fucked up place. Must be all the Govt. intervention.
If you DO get on there though, please, do something about that "beyond burgers" valley-girl chick. The only time you will EVER hear me yelling at the radio. - KarmaCake 9:32 AM

Feel free to hook that up.
CBC is the only place right now with a semi youth oriented programming.
And, the don't have a hip young girl especially one that's down with arts and culture. Come one, I'd look fab standing behind George as a correspondant for The Hour.
Just how I get there is a mystery unto itself.
I didn't know Beyond Burgers was still on. LOL Shame! - Leatherhands 9:46 AM

You seem more City TV to me. Much loud. Book TV. Something like that.
Maybe you could be "discovered" on the Speaker's Corner slot. There are ways.
Or, you could move to LA. (After you become independently wealthy.) - KarmaCake 12:21 PM

well... I always figured I had a level of sophistication that the CBC would dig.
Regardless...
Independently Wealthy? Hmmmm NOW THERE'S A PLAN!
leatherhands, you are a thinker! - Leatherhands 4:34 PM

More blow-hard than thinker. I have yet to achieve said independent wealth....though I've become highly skilled at debt management. I'm your guy for that.

Oh no....it appears you get controversial, and read books and shit. This means I need a coffee BEFORE I spew in this 'hood.
Re: post, Homophobia is still alive and well. I dunno why.
Re: Captain Matthew Flinders post you guided us toward...I deeply sympathise, but I have my own issues with that boat.
Circa '88....press launch of a Jeff Healey album (I was there as a friend of the band/management/to get hammered/have fun)..somebody from the press gallery recognized me from an old band of mine and called me a "has been." I turned around and said "hey dude, I was never a "been". Fuck off."
Everybody laughed, but it still stung like shit. People can suck.
